Upcoming Show

Join us November 10-12, 17-19, 2023 as we present the classic Greek comedy, Lysistrata.  Originally written in 411 B.C.E. Aristophanes, this timeless story of Men versus Women still rings true today.  The New English version by Robert Lehan will have you laughing just as hard as the ancient Greeks did!
Lysistrata, an Athenian woman, is frustrated that Athens is always at war. Determined to put an end to the ceaseless fighting and make the men of Athens spend time at home, instead of on the battlefield, she convinces all the women of Greece to stand with her and end the Peloponnesian War.  How?  Lysistrata persuades the women of the warring cities to withhold sexual privileges from their husbands  as a means of forcing the men to negotiate peace—a strategy, however, that inflames the battle between the sexes. Will the men listen as the women take over the city?  Only time will tell!
Lysistrata is sponsored in full by Chevrolet of Troy.
Tickets for Lysistrata are $16 each.  Tickets are available by calling the box office at 937-339-7700 or online at https;//https://troycivic.booktix.com/
Please be aware that Lysistrata contains adult themes and references, and may not be appropriate for younger audiences.
We look forward to seeing you there!
